Are you ready to elevate your girl dinner game with a mouth watering hoisin duck dish? Today, we're sharing a simple yet delicious recipe for hoisin duck leg served with roasted baby potatoes and a classic Caesar salad. You'll be shocked at how easy it can be to make something so yummy.

Recipe:

Hoisin Duck Legs:

Ingredients:

  • 1 duck leg
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the duck leg in a roasting dish and brush them with the hoisin sauce mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Roast the duck leg in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, basting occasionally with the remaining sauce, until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the duck leg from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Roasted Baby Potatoes:

Ingredients:

  • 500g baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp flour (to make them extra crispy)
  • Cajun seasoning to taste (super important trust me)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place the halved baby potatoes in a large bowl and drizzle them with olive oil. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, flour, salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Roast the potatoes in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 25-35 minutes or until they are golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Classic Caesar Salad:

Ingredients:

  • Lettuce chopped (and whatever other veggies you like, I usually cheat and buy a premade salad bowl)
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Croutons (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce and veggies with Caesar dressing and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss until well coated.
  2. Serve the Caesar salad alongside the hoisin duck legs and roasted baby potatoes.
  3. Garnish with croutons if desired.

Voilà! With just a few simple ingredients and easy steps, you've whipped up a gourmet-worthy hoisin duck feast that's sure to impress. Whether you're cooking for yourself or some friends, this flavourful dish is guaranteed to be a hit. Bon appétit!

With love and flavour,

Pretty Please xo
